Often, our customers want to sell their motorhome or caravan whilst in storage with us. Is this OK? What do you need to do? Do you need to ask?
Selling your motorhome or caravan whilst in storage is fine but check first
The simple answer is yes this is fine. HOWEVER, we would ask that we discuss moving you closer to the entrance. Why? Because this means visitors to the site are only venturing partway into our facility. We take a keen interest into who is accessing the site. Keeping prospective buyers close to the gate is deemed to be sensible for security reasons.
We would ask that at no point is a prospective buyer left unattended and that you do not issue them the kay and allow them to go to site on their own.
Passing on your storage agreement
We are very happy to accept a new customer as new owner of your caravan or motorhome. However, we do require them to sign our storage agreement and pay the key deposit. BEFORE you hand over the storage key we must be informed. On doing so we will ask them to become our customer by signing the agreement and agreeing to the terms within. We will ask them for the key deposit and then refund your deposit once the key has been either handed over or returned to us.
So in summary, yes we are happy for you to sell from the site as a one off but please seek our permission and blessing first.
Plus remember that we do offer a fantastic brokerage service where we take care of the sale from our site down the road in Hewish. www.mhcmotorhomes.co.uk is our sales business and we sell many motorhomes and caravans every year. We also offer habitation checks and servicing should you wish to get this done prior to selling. Don’t forget our valeting service too if you want your leisure vehicle to look it’s best prior to you selling it.
